There is no discrimination at all here at the Green Team, walking into the ‘Workshop of Hope’ is a special experience which really does embody a ‘whistle while you work culture’.
Our amazing staff tailor training to individual needs and The Green Team has always had a full inclusion policy, the trainees here have access to training in a variety of skills including basic gardening maintenance; woodworking; fencing and landscaping through the correct Health & Safety procedures when using machinery and wearing the correct clothing for the tasks being undertaken.
The staff have all undergone and continue to undergo suitable and timely training to ensure they are up to date with not only basic skills such as First Aid but also more specialized skills such as chainsaw operation.

So much of what we deliver here at TBGT is unquantifiable- we have trainees whom have been with us for years and when they first joined, couldn’t even speak to a member of the public now they get the bus themselves, pay for their shopping themselves and make friends
easily.

Our main function is to provide supported placements for those with learning and physical disabilities to work as part of a team and develop skills and the knowledge to take with them, should they wish, into paid employment.
